September Newsletter
Dear colleagues, friends and family,In this letter I'd like to tell you a little bit more about Splendor. This week we celebrate 10 years of Splendor with multiple events, in the building, and in Carré.Splendor has been part of my Amsterdam-life since day one.It was one of the first places I visited in the city to watch a contemporary music concert, and I absolutely loved it.I would be far from knowing that in 2020 I would be invited to temporarily join this amazing space, for, what would have been in the start (only) two years. With COVID in between and a Jubileum coming up, our stay was extended, until precisely, the end of this month. So, these celebrations have for me a very special taste, the closing of a very long and important cycle, of meeting many amazing people, and striking connections that I would never have guessed in the first place.I am certain that, in a way or another, this place will keep on being very present in my artistic and personal live.

Before diving up to sharing more about these events with you, I'd like also to share that in the next few months I will be continuing to develop my workSeeing Quintuplethis time with the support of the composition grant from Fonds Podiumkunsten!More on that soon.
Upcoming events
Splendor Sonic Circus
September 23rd, 20h00Koninklijk Theater Carré AmsterdamOn the cusp of a decade, we, a wonderfully varied group of 50 top musicians, have been running our clubhouse in the heart of Amsterdam. Countless musical styles find their way to the Splendor stage: classical, jazz, pop, impro, world music and everything in between and beyond. And preferably at the same time, because for us playing together is why it all started. It will be an unforgettable, colorful and musically all-encompassing spectacle. An evening in which all musical strains pass in review, from the intensely intimate to the wildly boisterous. Soaring strings and winds in the circus ring and infectious pop on the main stage. A singer sings to you, almost in your lap. Spectacularly thumping pop makes Carré quake. You can't get any closer to the music than this.Greatest hits and forgotten gems can be heard alongside brand new compositions and arrangements, written especially for this occasion. Music without a safety net, as only Splendor can. Come and see, come and hear!Tickets here(Cannot afford?
