intro(s) to Nowhere

Digital Album Release

Dear colleagues, friends and family,Last newsletter before the summer break, this time I will keep it short! The changing of seasons was quietly marked here by the scent of elderflowers bubbling away into cordial. A small new ritual, thank you Maidie.(Chloroform - Elderflower Cordial)This coming Saturday, I’ll be releasing a digital album with recordings from my EMS residency last November. It’s a collection of sonic sketches and reflections. You’re warmly invited to listen online, or live at Dokzaal in Amsterdam. It’s also receiving-grant-application-results-season!... ...And I’m glad to share that I received a positive reply from Fonds Podiumkunsten for my upcoming project on Unsound and Silence as an epistemic force of resistance and reflection.(more info will follow on the scribbles section soon)Wishing you a restful and inspiring summer,Tatiana(Alpacas in Apeldoorn = project meetings for 2027)

Bica à BoavistaMeanwhile, the cats have been sterilised. Here’s Poli shortly after the procedure dressed in a superhero-style onesie and casting a deeply judgmental look my way.The onesie is now off. The attitude remains. Also, August is grape season, and I’ll be back in the vineyard for the Vindima - harvesting and bringing the grapes to the Cooperative to start this year’s winemaking.

intro(s) to Nowhere Digital Album Release

This Saturday, I’ll be releasing a digital album titled intro(s) to nowhere, a collection of sounds created entirely from recordings on the Buchla 200 system during my residency at EMS (Elektronmusikstudion) in Stockholm last November.During the residency, I focused on embracing chance and letting the Buchla act as an agentic creative other. The title intro(s) to nowhere reflects a space of possibility rather than absence. A place beyond fixed destinations, inspired in part by Rebecca Solnit’s reflections on the value of being lost and open to the unknown.

Alongside the release, I’ll perform a concert at Tell Me More #4, an event featuring myself alongside Nader Adabnejad and Sara Plusplus.DokzaalPlantage Doklaan 8, 1018 CM Amsterdam

Saturday, July 12thDoors open 19.30Performances start  20.00The concert will showcase a dialogue between the EMS recordings and other less familiar technologies I’ve been exploring, reflecting on themes of technology, non-human perspectives and openness to unpredictability.

Last but not least, a big thank you to Splendor for generously offering their space for a rehearsal, and to Laura Nygren for curating and organizing this evening.(Splendor's Kleine Zaal ceiling)
